I have been so moved to share my feelings about Steve Curtis Chapman and his loss of his sweet and innocent little girl...Maria. I have been a huge fan of SCC for so long....almost from the beginning of his career as a singer. I have followed him from state to state and purchased many of his albums. When I started listening to him I was going through a rough time in my life. I was getting over a marriage that went sour and trying to find my place in the world of being single again. I met many new Christian people that helped me find myself but not only find myself but find God. Really for the first time in my life to find God and choose Him over everything else. That is also when I found Steven's music to be so uplifting and inspiring. His choice of words in his music was such a pleasant sound and his voice just wanted to make u move mountains in your own spiritual journey. Music about sacrifice, about pain and recovery and about who mades us all....Our One and Only Savior. I know that he has touched so many lives in so many countries around the world. So with that I said I just wanted to send out in the universe my gratitude to him for helping me see the change that had to happen in my life so many years ago.
As you might not know...Steven lost his little girl Maria to a tragic accident at their home. She was five years old, and I am sure that she will be missed by so many. I will be and hope u will be also...praying for them in this time of grief. May God be with the family and friends!
Another reason that I wanted to share these feelings tonight is to share a few words to those who mean the most to me in my life. First of all..my maker. I love Him so much and am truly grateful for the people that He has put in my life. Next my parents for raising me and teaching me to choose the right. Then my extended family....thanks for sharing your special someone in your family with me...Sam. He is a blessing to me, and I love him dearly. Then to all my many friends out there...you complete me. Thanks for sticking with me and helping me be who I am today......and u know who you are. I love you all soooo very much and truly blessed to have everyone in my life. I just wanted to make sure that you knew what u all mean to me before it is too late to tell you. Before like Maria....our time here in up, and we are taken home.
Hello....good to see you back on your blog! I missed reading it and keep it going now. That is so sad about the WCC accident and my prayers are with them.
I am so proud of you and keep your spirits up !!!! Everything is going to be fine....just trust God to direct your life!
